The pic

A lot of people have commented about our Incredibles picture. For Halloween 2007 we dressed as the Incredibles. I bought them on the Disney website. And yes, David was a good sport. He was excited actually. We got them in the mail on a Saturday afternoon and the kids had friends over. David decided to try on his costume and then he went outside and put his hands on his hips and yelled to the kids, "Does anyone need rescued out here?" The kids all laughed. I was doubled over laughing. Then I remembered one thing that I love about David, his sense of humor. Anyone who knows David knows he is very funny. Sometimes in the hustle and bustle of life we forget the power of laughter. This was the funnest Halloween ever. Wherever we went we got smiles (I think people thought we were crazy). David wanted to haul sugar beets in his costume, but decided against it (he didn't want to dirty it of course). I am pretty sure it is a Halloween we will never forget.

Being sick

Well going back to work has not been running smoothly. My first week back went pretty well although I was fighting a cold. My second week, well not so good. Last Sunday I felt my lungs starting to burn, and its been downhill from there. I muttled through work on Monday with terrible body aches and a cough. My Tuesday I had a fever of 102.4. I had to come home from work. I went to the Dr. they suspected Influenza (should've had a flu shot). Since I cannot take Tamiflu (due to nursing) they did not test. I wouldn't be surprised if I had bronchitus though. Anyway, I missed Wednesday but had to go back on Thursday. So with no voice and a cough that sounds as if it is coming from my toes I drug myself to work. I am all out of sick days due to my maternity leave so any days I miss I get my paycheck docked. It sucks so bad! It is the worst feeling in the world to feel so terrible, but still have to be somewhere. Then Taylor got sent home from school with a fever. Thank goodness the day was almost over so David only had to watch him for a little while. He was much better by Friday, then... Jenna started to get it. She fevered throughout the night last night, and has a little cough. Her fever breaks with Tylenol and she is being a little trooper. Even though I know she is miserable she still is smiley. I however am getting no better. I guess getting no sleep, and being really stressed out isn't helping. My house is a mess, my classroom is a mess, I have report cards due, lesson plans to do, papers to grade, floors to mop, MY WASHER BROKE, my truck is dirty...well I could go on an on but I need to rest. Wow, venting really helps. I feel so much better. Thanks for listening!

Back to work and other ramblings

Well, a lot of people have been asking me about my first week back at work so I thought I would post a blog real quick. When I went to drop Jenna of it was like de ja vu. It seem like just yesterday I was dropping Taylor off. I even almost wrote Taylor's name on the sign in sheet. It is amazing how quickly life changes.
I am adjusting pretty well to being back. My class is really good and fun. We have been doing a lot more brain activity songs than usual ( to wake me up more than anything.) Jenna had a stuffy nose our first two days back and I had an earache. So needless to say there was not much sleep to be had. I was exhausted! But she slept better Wednesday night. I actually got 4 hours of uninterrupted sleep. Ahh, the things we appreciate. And then last night she slept through the night! I woke up often to check on her (in my arms) but she was fine. I finally woke her up at 5:00 am to feed her and she was still sleepy. So she ate a little and went back to sleep until her bath time at 6:30. I am looking forward to the weekend. We are meeting Erica and Seth in Billings for Jaden's Birthday. It is going to be so fun. I can't wait to sleep in in the morning and cuddle with Jenna and probably Taylor since he has been coming in to my room during the night.
This morning at 5 when I was feeding Jenna, Taylor walked in and said, "Hi Mom," as he walked to David's side of the bed, "I had bad thoughts again." I said "Okay, snuggle in" I know I will miss the days when we still have kids coming in to our bed.
Overall my week has been good. The days fly by, but my schedule seems grueling. I still get to see Jenna at noon when I go and feed her, I love rocking her to sleep and laying her down for a nap. This is probably my favorite time of day. Thank you to everyone for their support this week.
